How IBox Works?

Step 1 : Movie File Collection

Movie file from the producer or distributor in open form (DPX or MPEG format) is received at IBOX Contact Center.
Hindi movie file is collected at IBOX Mumbai Center, Mumbai, India and Nepali movie file is collected at IBOX Head Office, Kathmandu.

Step 2 : Editing & Encoding the Movie

Necessary Editing of the Movie is done at the lab which is highly secured, allows access to authorized person only and monitored 24 hours by CCTV.
Hindi movie file is edited at IBOX Mumbai Center Nepali movie file is edited at IBOX Head Office, Kathmandu
The file is finally encoded in the IBOX file format. The Final movie prepared using Adobe Premier CS-6 in Full HD Format (1920*1080 with 5.1 Audio).
IBOX System also supports encoding of Dolby like digital cinema surround sound high fidelity audio content.

Step 3 : Encrypting the Movie

Encryption of the Hindi movie file is done at IBOX Mumbai Lab and Nepali Movie at IBOX Head Office, Kathmandu.
The IBOX-Encripter Software is used to Encrypt the movie file. (Each bit of the movie re-write with encrypted text).
The Raw file of the movie is deleted from IBOX Lab after successful encryption into IBOX System.

Step 4 : Content Delivery

Multiple copy of the Encrypted Movie is prepared at IBOX Lab. (Office is covered by CC camera and Authentication for the system room is used.)
Encrypted Movie is delivered to IBOX theater within India via electronic media like satelite or internet or hard disk.
For the Hindi movie to Nepal market, the encrypted file is first collected at IBOX Head Office from where it is delivered to IBOX theaters.
Encrypted movie file is copied into IBOX SYSTEM at the Theater using IBOX application through Internet/Intranet/Hard Disk.

Step 5 : KDM Distribution

Security key (KDM) is provided to Exhibitor as per Release Order to run the Movie at Theater on the basis of which movie distribution and exhibition is controlled.
The KDM is generated in weekly or daily or show mode and separate for individual theater. The KDM provided for one theater can not be used for another theater.

Step 6 : Movie Playback

The movie loaded into the IBOX System at Theater can be played back with the help of valid KDM.
The secret code appears frequently at the cinema screen randomly as watermark which minimizes the piracy of movie. Specific theater gets particular secret code which do not match with other theaters.
IBOX System also supports playback of Dolby like digital cinema surround sound high fidelity audio content.

Step 7 : Report Generation

Log File is generated with the record date wise about the detail activity carried out by the SYSTEM operator.
This record will be automatically updated to the central system through internet.

Security Mechanism in IBOX

System Level Security

Decryption of the movie is done at the Theater in IBOX SYSTEM during playback to avoid copy to hard disk like media.
Software Injects theater code in movie automatically during Decryption process.
Extended Monitor (Projector) is configured to IBOX system such that other projector will not be accepted by the system and it lock the system.
Monthly continuity key require to continue the system hence close monitor on Exhibitor has been taken.
License to play the file is delivered with password-code encoded in the hard disk or to the authorized mobile using SMS. This ensures that no authorized person has access to play the film.

OS Level Security

Operating System opens at IBOX System directly.
Hard Disks used in the system are encrypted and can be opened on the installed system only. Hard Disks used in one system can not be used in any other system without reinstallation of the system.
Ports not used by IBOX System are disables.
Automatic Mode, Safe Mode & Repair Mode including auto boot, auto run from drive etc are disabled.
Copy function from system to external device is disable.
Bios locked by password.
Using Ctr+Alt+Del function is prohibited and will re-start the system.
Auto start of IBOX system "Lock the System Screen".
Exiting of IBOX Shutdown the system.
Closing of IBOX using any means system will auto shutdown.

Environment Level Security

IBOX Digital System has the dedicated media center equipped with tight security system which allows access to only authorized personnel.
IBOX Digital Cinema System uses the password system while digitizing the film. Only authorized personnel are made known to it.

Physical Security

System sealed at screw point using IBOX seal.
Casing is locked with password system. Authorized personal only are able to open the IBOX Case.
